Areas we cover

Landscaping within twenty miles of Harrogate

We build patios, fencing and planting schemes from the edge of the Dales to the Vale of York, and down the Wharfe into north Leeds. If you're just outside the line, ask anyway. For larger projects we'll travel.

Harrogate & Knaresborough

Victorian and Edwardian villas around the Stray, larger modern houses towards Pannal and Follifoot, and village gardens out to Spofforth. Much of central Harrogate is a conservation area, so front gardens and boundaries need care. In Knaresborough, gardens often sit on slopes above the Nidd, where steps and retaining walls make the space usable.

Ripon, Masham & Nidderdale

Farmhouses, barn conversions and estates from Ripon up into Nidderdale National Landscape. Gritstone walls, big skies and exposed sites, where long runs of post and rail and a shelter belt of trees make the biggest difference.

Wetherby, Boston Spa & Tadcaster

Magnesian limestone country: the pale stone that built York Minster was quarried near Tadcaster. Boston Spa, Bramham and Collingham all have conservation areas. Free-draining soils suit terraces well, and beech and field maple thrive.

Otley, Ilkley & Wharfedale

Millstone grit and stone villas on the valley sides around Otley and Ilkley. Gardens here are often steep, so terraces, steps and retaining walls do the heavy lifting, and wind off the moor makes shelter planting worth it.

North Leeds & Harewood

Some of the largest gardens in Leeds, in Alwoodley, Scarcroft and Bramhope, plus the estate villages around Harewood. On plots this size, pleached trees and instant hedging are the quickest way to gain privacy from the road or the neighbours.

York, Boroughbridge & the Vale

Flat, open country with heavier clay soils from Boroughbridge and Easingwold across to York and up to Thirsk. Drainage matters here, both under terraces and in tree pits, so they don't fill with water over winter.
